Privacy Policy

Updated 27 September 2026

Pure only receives the images you choose to clean, and our copy is deleted within 24 hours. We never sell your information, and we never use your images to train AI.

Who we are

Pure is operated by Jonh Alex (“we” or “us” in this policy).

This policy explains what information Pure uses, why we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the Pure app on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and Pure on the web.

At a glance

Here are the main points. The sections below give the details.

  • We only receive the images you choose to clean.
  • Images are cleaned automatically. No person looks at them.
  • Our copy of each image is deleted within 24 hours.
  • The cleaned images you keep stay on your own device, not on our computers.
  • We never sell your information, and we never use your images to train AI.
  • You can delete your account anytime in Settings.

Your account

You sign in to Pure with Apple or Google. Pure has no passwords.

When you sign in, Apple or Google gives us your name, your email address and a unique account number. We don’t receive anything else from them.

If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we only receive the private address Apple creates for you, and we respect that choice.

You can sign out or delete your account at any time in Settings.

Images you clean

Pure only receives the images you choose to clean.

If you allow Pure to access Photos, it can find new images with AI tags on your device. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to clean an image.

When you clean an image, it is sent over an encrypted connection to our computers in the United States, run by Amazon Web Services.

Cleaning is automatic. No person looks at your images.

Our copy of the original image and the cleaned result is deleted within 24 hours.

  • We never use your images to train AI.
  • We never sell your images.
  • We never share your images for advertising.

Where your cleaned images are kept

The cleaned images you keep are stored on your own device, not on our computers.

On iPhone, iPad and Mac, they’re stored in the Pure app. On the web, they’re kept in your browser’s storage on that device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Pure doesn’t sync images between your devices. Save or download the images you want to keep.

Images you save to Photos or download are yours to manage. Deleting your Pure account doesn’t remove them.

How we count your monthly use

We count how many images each account cleans in each calendar month. This lets us give you 2 free images a month and apply the Pure Pro fair-use limit of up to 1,000 images a month.

Months follow Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), so a new month may start at a different local time for you.

If you delete your account and sign up again with the same Apple or Google account in the same month, your count for that month continues. To do this, we keep a one-way code made from your Apple or Google account number, not your account itself.

This code can’t be turned back into your account details. It only lets us recognise the same account if it signs up again, and we delete it when the month ends.

Payments

On iPhone, iPad and Mac, purchases are made through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles your payment; we only get a confirmation of your purchase, like which plan you have and when it renews or ends.

On the web, payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe receives your payment details, email address and billing country to process your payment and any applicable taxes.

Pure never sees your full card number. We only receive a confirmation of your purchase from Stripe.

Apple and Stripe handle your payment information under their own privacy policies.

Problem reports

This applies only to the apps on iPhone, iPad and Mac. If Pure closes unexpectedly or freezes, Apple’s system can give Pure a report about the problem. It helps us fix it.

These reports never include your images or personal details. They are stored without any link to your account and deleted after 30 days.

You can turn them off anytime in Pure’s Settings > Privacy.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. If you turn them on, Pure uses them only to tell you when an image is ready.

You can turn them off anytime in your device or browser settings.

Cookies and your browser

A cookie is a small file your browser keeps for a website. On the web, Pure only uses the cookies it needs to work.

We use them to keep you signed in and to finish signing in safely. These cookies are strictly necessary for Pure to work.

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites.

Your browser also remembers your language and a few preferences, so Pure stays the way you set it. This stays in your browser and isn’t used to track you.

Who we share information with

We share information only with companies that help us run Pure, and only what they need to do their part:

  • Amazon Web Services, which runs the computers where your images are cleaned and your account is stored.
  • Apple, for signing in with Apple, App Store purchases and problem reports.
  • Google, for signing in with Google.
  • Stripe, for payments on the web.

When the law requires it

We may share information when the law requires it, for example to answer a valid court order.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.

Why we use your information

We use your information only to run Pure and keep it working well. Under laws such as the GDPR, we rely on these reasons:

  • To provide Pure to you: your account, cleaning your images, your plan and your monthly count.
  • To keep Pure safe and fair, and to fix problems, which is in our legitimate interest.
  • To follow the law, for example by keeping payment records for taxes.
  • With your permission, for notifications. You can withdraw it anytime.

Where your information is processed

Pure’s computers are in the United States. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States so we can provide Pure.

When we transfer personal information from the European Union, the United Kingdom and other places with similar rules, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

How we keep your information safe

Your images and details travel over encrypted connections.

Sign-in details are stored encrypted, and sign-ins expire after a set time.

No system is perfectly safe, but we work hard to protect your information.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • Account details: while your account exists.
  • Images you clean: deleted from our servers within 24 hours.
  • Monthly counts: until the month ends, plus a short period after.
  • Problem reports: 30 days.
  • Payment records: kept as long as tax laws require. Apple and Stripe keep their own records under their own policies.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal information. Depending on where you live, they can include the right to:

  • See the information we have about you.
  • Correct information that’s wrong.
  • Delete your information.
  • Get a copy of your data to take elsewhere.
  • Object to how we use your information.
  • Withdraw your permission anytime, where we rely on it.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

How to use your rights

The quickest way to delete your information is to delete your account in Pure’s Settings.

For anything else, write to us at [email protected]. We’ll answer within the time the law requires, and we may need to confirm it’s really you.

Rights in some places

European Union and United Kingdom: the GDPR and the UK GDPR give you the rights above. You can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

Brazil: the LGPD gives you similar rights, including the right to confirm whether we use your information and to ask us to delete it. You can also contact the national data protection authority (ANPD).

California: under the CCPA and CPRA, you can ask what information we collect, and ask us to correct or delete it. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for ads that follow you across websites and apps (what the law calls cross-context behavioural advertising).

We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

Other countries: your local law may give you similar rights. Contact us and we’ll help.

Children

Pure isn’t intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age in their country. We don’t knowingly collect their information.

If you think a child has given us information, write to us at [email protected] and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with a new date.

If a change is important, we’ll also tell you in the app.
